Sweden tour for farmers

Six cocoa farmers from Tailevu travel to Sweden on Friday to find out how to make better use of their crop.
The group that will spend two weeks in Sweden and will be lead by the chairman of the Tailevu Cocoa Growers and Producers Co-operative Association, Joseva Serulagilagi.
“The trip is fully funded by the Swedish International Development Agency which has already conducted a two-week training programme in Fiji in May and June,” said Mr Serulagilagi. The group will visit a number of big chocolate manufacturers in Sweden.
“They hope that on their return, they will be able to establish a chocolate factory in Tailevu North which will help them boost their income,” he said.
